Training Highlights

Training came and went for the summer staff here at YD. It was three weeks of backcountry, river, horses, rock, challenge course, and other ministry-focused sessions. All in all, it was great! Although it was quite tiring, it definitely helped me get back in the groove for summer and build upon the skills I learned last year. Some highlights included....

4 days in the backcountry. Beautiful weather. Camping on snow. Playing in the snow. Having the opportunity to learn and teach backcountry skills with my team!

Rock Training. So fun and relaxed! We got some great personal climbs in as well as getting the opportunity to practice on climb and rappel stations.

We went night rappelling as well! So amazing!!!

Getting certified as a level 2 guide on the river. So now I can guide my own boat down the Wenatchee: the valley I grew up in!

God is so good and so faithful.
He has already taught me so much this summer.
I'm so excited to meet the students who are brought on adventure this summer!
